This tactile bag has 4 external and 4 internal pockets along with 4 fabric characters. Any feelings, problems etc can be hidden in the pockets or in the characters until the child is ready to talk about them allowing the child to be in control. The bag is brightly coloured on the outside but black inside – to represent the darkest and deepest problems which may be kept hidden until the child is ready to talk about them - which is shown by the bag being turned inside out and the pockets with these problems inside being on the outside now. This allows the child to show any adults when they are ready to talk about the problem and not feel defensive or pushed into talking before they are ready. His product has been developed for working in sensitive areas with individual children, or small groups of children, teenagers or even adults. It can also be used in many PHSE areas within the curriculum to introduce topics or help summarise at the end of a lesson. The pack includes many ideas such as a fold out chart to help identify problems, many cards with situations, feelings etc on, topic cards and solution cards along with teaching notes, a blank dice, an emotions dice and a blank spinner to develop games in a group situation.
